Cyclotron Emissivity in the Early Universe
نویسنده
چکیده
Primordial magnetic fields present between the eras of neutrino decoupling and of positron-electron annihilation can lead to the emission of neutrinoanti neutrino pairs or axions by electrons in excited Landau levels, thereby changing the electron energy spectrum. The rate is calculated and shown to not affect significantly the standard Big Bang picture.

Cosmic Dust, Refraction and Emissivity
Cosmic dust is pervasive within our galaxy and it is reasonable to suspect it is dispersed in various ways throughout the universe. Cosmic dust has emissivity when exposed to electromagnetic energy sources. The emissivity of cosmic dust contributes to cosmic radio noise and concentrations of it alters electromagnetic waves by refraction. Cosmic dust is concentrated in our Sun’s heliosphere and ...
متن کاملOn the evolution of the ionizing emissivity of galaxies and quasars required by the hydrogen reionization
The average rate of emission of ionizing radiation per unit volume (or emissivity) in the universe can be calculated as the ratio of the intensity of the ionizing background to the mean free path of ionizing photons. The intensity of the background is measured from the mean transmitted flux of the Lyα forest, and the mean free path is measured from the abundance of Lyman limit systems, which ha...
متن کاملReionization after Planck: the Derived Growth of the Cosmic Ionizing Emissivity Now Matches the Growth of the Galaxy Uv Luminosity Density
Thomson optical depth τ measurements from Planck provide new insights into the reionization of the universe. In pursuit of model-independent constraints on the properties of the ionizing sources, we determine the empirical evolution of the cosmic ionizing emissivity. We use a simple two-parameter model to map out the evolution in the emissivity at z 6 from the new Planck optical depth τ measu...

The radioisotope 67Ga (T 1/2 = 78 h) in extensively used as single photon marker for detecting the presence of malignancy and the diagnosis of inflammatory diseases. The high tumor specificity of carrier-free 67Ga make it one of the most interesting radionuclides in nuclear medicine for in vivo scanning studies. 67Ga is a cyclotron produced radioisotopes and is one of the radiopharmaceuti...
متن کاملAn Improvement on Land Surface Temperature Determination by Producing Surface Emissivity Maps
Emissivity mapping of the Earth’s surface is the prerequisite to thermal remote sensing. A precise determinationof a surface's temperature is dependent upon the availability of precise emissivity data for that surface. The presentstudy area is a part of sugarcane plantation fields in the west part of Khuzestan province. In this work, TemperatureEmissivity Separation algorithm (TES) was applied ...
